        MOURNING  the death of Beth Mannion, distinguished
        citizen and devoted member of her community

  WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens of the State of New York  whose  lifework  and  civic  endeavor
served  to  enhance  the  quality  of life in their communities and this
great Empire State; and

  WHEREAS, Beth Mannion of Mount Kisco, New York,  died  on  Saturday,
August 5, 2023, at the age of 57; and

  WHEREAS,  Born  on  November 3, 1965, to John and Carolyn O'Leary in
Mount Kisco, Beth Mannion grew up in Bedford Hills  and  graduated  from
Fox  Lane  High  School  in  1983;  she  earned an associate degree from
Westchester Community College and later went on to receive a Bachelor of
Arts in Marketing degree from Western Connecticut University; and

  WHEREAS, Beth Mannion's commitment to excellence, and her spirit  of
humanity,   carried  over  into  all  fields  of  enterprise,  including
charitable and civic endeavors; and

  WHEREAS, After completing her education, Beth Mannion began  working
at  the  Bedford  Barn  for several years and also spent time working at
other businesses, including Save-a-Tree; and

  WHEREAS, In 1999, Beth Mannion married her beloved  husband,  Frank,
and later gave birth to their daughter Kristin in 2002; and

  WHEREAS, Beth Mannion distinguished herself in her profession and by
her  sincere  dedication  and substantial contribution to the welfare of
her community; and

  WHEREAS, Devoting much of her time to her family and the  betterment
of   her   community,   Beth  Mannion  always  exemplified  service  and
selflessness through her involvement in many  organizations,  including:
Mount  Kisco  Memorial Pool Swim Team, Mount Kisco American Youth Soccer
Organization, St. Patrick's in Bedford Annual Craft Fair, St.  Patrick's
in  Yorktown  Auction  -  Hot Lunch - Spa - Class Mother and Volleyball,
Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Kennedy Catholic High School Cross Country  and
Track  Teams,  St.   Francis of Assisi Parish Council, and the Emergency
Shelter Partnership; and

  WHEREAS, Beth Mannion is survived by  her  adoring  husband,  Frank;
four  children,  Luke  (Sarah),  Breeda Carbone (Joe), Kristin, and John
"Jack"; four grandchildren, Mary "Mollie", Callum, Lochlan Mannion,  and
John  Joseph  Carbone;  and her loving sisters, Kathleen "Kathy" O'Leary
Fable and Karen O'Leary Cunniffe; and

  WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a  sense  of
compassion,  Beth  Mannion leaves behind a legacy which will long endure
the passage of time and will remain as a comforting memory  to  all  she
served and befriended; now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED,  That  this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of  Beth  Mannion,  distinguished  citizen  and  devoted
member of her community; and be it further

  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Beth Mannion.
