Senate Resolution No. 1756

        HONORING  Sabrina  Wolfe  upon the occasion of her
        designation for special recognition by the CYO  Troy
        Youth Association, Inc. on June 6, 2019

  WHEREAS,  Individuals  who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

  WHEREAS, Sabrina Wolfe has given not only of her time  and  energies
but also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and

  WHEREAS,  This  Legislative  Body  is  justly proud to honor Sabrina
Wolfe upon the occasion of her designation for  special  recognition  by
the CYO Troy Youth Association, Inc. to be celebrated at its 15th Annual
William J. Pascarell Person of the Year Event on Thursday, June 6, 2019,
at the Italian Community Center, Troy, New York; and

  WHEREAS,  Sabrina  Wolfe has been called upon to contribute her time
and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and  has  always
given of herself unstintingly; and

  WHEREAS,  Sabrina  Wolfe began her basketball career in the Troy CYO
program at Sacred Heart grades 1st through 7th; she  went  on  to  Maple
Hill  High School where she played modified and varsity, and finished at
Troy High School where she maintained  a  97%  GPA  and  was  named  THS
Scholar Athlete in 2017; and

  WHEREAS,  In  addition,  she was named News Channel 13 Top Player of
the Year and was a member of the 2017 All State AA Team; and

  WHEREAS,  With  a  steadfast  and  unwavering  commitment   to   her
community,  Sabrina Wolfe volunteered with many organizations, including
Miracle League, American Cancer Society, Unity House, Bethany House  and
many more; and

  WHEREAS,  Sabrina  Wolfe  is  currently  a  junior  at the Rochester
Institute of Technology (RIT), where she carries a 3.9 GPA; and

  WHEREAS, As a member of RIT's Women's Basketball Team, Sabrina Wolfe
led the team to three NCCA Championship Tournaments; she has  also  been
the proud recipient of the school's Student Athlete Award; and

  WHEREAS,  Throughout  the  entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Sabrina Wolfe has stood constant  in
dignity, good grace and humor; and

  WHEREAS,  Rare  indeed  is  the  impressive  dedication  shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Sabrina Wolfe  has  displayed
throughout her life; and

  WHEREAS,  It  has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to  honor  and  support  those  individuals  who  have  displayed  their

commitment  to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this  tribute  to
Sabrina  Wolfe,  that  future  generations  may  know and appreciate her
admirable  character,  her  many  benevolent  deeds, and the respect and
esteem in which she is held by her peers; now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its  deliberations  to
honor  Sabrina  Wolfe  upon  the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the CYO Troy Youth Association, Inc. on June 6, 2019; and
be it further

  RESOLVED, That a copy of this  Resolution,  suitably  engrossed,  be
transmitted to Sabrina Wolfe.
