        AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to a centralized database
          for participation in response to a declared state emergency

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. The executive law is amended by adding a new section 719 to
     2  read as follows:
     3    §  719.  Centralized database for participation in emergency response.
     4  Within six months of the effective date of this  section,  the  division
     5  shall create and maintain a centralized database of companies and organ-
     6  izations  that  can  be part of the state's emergency response system to
     7  provide goods and services during a  period  of  emergency  or  disaster
     8  declared  by  the governor.  The division shall conduct outreach efforts
     9  to develop the database that shall function as a clearinghouse to  iden-
    10  tify  businesses  and organizations that are able to produce and provide
    11  critical products and services which are needed during a period of emer-
    12  gency or disaster. The division shall  communicate  with  businesses  to
    13  facilitate  needed  production  and procurement of and  shall coordinate
    14  distribution of needed products and services.
    15    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
