tion, economic development and environmental conservation budget for
the 2009-2010 state fiscal year, in relation to reducing the metropol-
         itan transportation authority administrative expenditures
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1 Section 1. The legislature hereby determines that during the 2009-2010
2 fiscal year, the sum of money appropriated to the metropolitan transpor-
3 tation authority for their operating expenses was erroneously calcu-
4 lated. As such, the metropolitan transportation authority was appropri-
5 ated unnecessary money for its headquarters and administrative
6 expenditures. As such, the legislature has determined that this excess
7 money would be better suited to help offset the costs of the reduced
8 fare for school children program.
