AMEDORE -- read once and referred to the Committee on Local Governments AN ACT to amend the general municipal law, in relation to amending certain references to the city manager THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. Section 668 of the general municipal law, as added by chap- 2 ter 339 of the laws of 1968, is amended to read as follows: 3 S 668. Schenectady urban renewal agency. An urban renewal agency, to 4 be known as the Schenectady urban renewal agency, is hereby established 5 for the accomplishment of any or all of the purposes specified in arti- 6 cles fifteen and fifteen-A of this chapter and in accordance with arti- 7 cle eighteen of the constitution of the state of New York. It shall 8 constitute a body corporate and politic and be perpetual in duration and 9 consist of the members of the city council and mayor who shall be chair- 10 man. The [city manager] MAYOR shall be its administrative head and exec- 11 utive secretary. It shall have the powers and duties now or hereafter 12 conferred by article fifteen-A of this chapter upon municipal urban 13 renewal agencies. It shall be organized in the manner prescribed by and 14 be subject to the provisions of article fifteen-A of the general munici- 15 pal law and the agency, its members, officers and employees and its 16 operations and activities shall in all respects be governed by the 17 provisions of such article. 18 S 2.
