ABBATE -- read once and referred to the Committee on Governmental Employees AN ACT to amend the civil service law, in relation to exclusivity of relief for strike violations THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. The civil service law is amended by adding a new section 2 211-a to read as follows: 3 S 211-A. EXCLUSIVITY OF RELIEF. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF 4 LAW, THE PROVISIONS OF SECTIONS TWO HUNDRED TEN AND TWO HUNDRED ELEVEN 5 OF THIS ARTICLE SHALL CONSTITUTE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES FOR 6 REDRESS OF ANY VIOLATION OF SUBDIVISION ONE OF SECTION TWO HUNDRED TEN 7 OF THIS ARTICLE, AND NO OTHER OR ADDITIONAL PENALTIES OR DAMAGES SHALL 8 BE ASSESSED FOR ANY SUCH VIOLATION. 9 S 2.
