          on Transportation

        AN ACT to repeal paragraph 2 of subdivision (a) of section 1642  of  the
          vehicle  and traffic law relating to traffic regulations for the park-
          ing, standing, stopping and backing of vehicles  in  cities  having  a
          population in excess of one million

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Paragraph 2 of subdivision (a) of section 1642 of the vehi-
     2  cle and traffic law is REPEALED.
     3    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
