        AN ACT to amend the county law and the state finance law, in relation to
          defunding planned parenthood
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section  1.  Subdivision 16 of section 224 of the county law, as added
     2  by chapter 811 of the laws of 1969, is amended to read as follows:
     3    16. The board of supervisors of any county [may] shall not appropriate
     4  [such sums of money as it deems proper toward the  maintenance  of]  any
     5  funds  for  the support or operation of a planned parenthood association
     6  organized and operating [to give family  planning  services  to  persons
     7  residing] in the county.
     8    §  2. The state finance law is amended by adding a new section 53-e to
     9  read as follows:
    10    § 53-e. Prohibiting state funding  for  Planned  Parenthood  organiza-
    11  tions.  No  appropriations  or allocations of state funds may be made to
    12  any Planned Parenthood association or to any successor organization.
    13    § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
