BOYLE -- read once and referred to the Committee on Governmental Operations AN ACT to amend the public officers law, in relation to requiring disclosure of certain information by members of the legislature who are practicing attorneys THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. Subparagraph (b) of paragraph 8 of subdivision 3 of section 2 73-a of the public officers law, as added by chapter 813 of the laws of 3 1987, is relettered subparagraph (c) and a new subparagraph (b) is added 4 to read as follows: 5 (B) IF THE REPORTING INDIVIDUAL IS A MEMBER OF THE LEGISLATURE AND 6 SUCH INDIVIDUAL PRACTICES LAW WITH A FIRM OR CORPORATION, GIVE AN 7 ACCOUNTING OF THE NUMBER OF HOURS THE INDIVIDUAL WORKS AT THE FIRM OR 8 CORPORATION FOR THE YEAR WITH A GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PRINCIPAL 9 SUBJECT AREAS OF MATTERS UNDERTAKEN BY SUCH INDIVIDUAL AND THE NUMBER OF 10 CASES SUCH INDIVIDUAL HANDLED FOR THE YEAR.
