       AN ACT to amend the administrative code of the  city  of  New  York,  in
         relation to requiring a permit for the assembly of motorcycles
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Subchapter 8 of chapter 1 of title 27 of the administrative
    2  code of the city of New York is amended by adding a  new  article  6  to
    3  read as follows:
    4                                  ARTICLE 6
    5                           ASSEMBLY OF MOTORCYCLES
    6  SECTION 27-549.5 ASSEMBLY OF MOTORCYCLES.
    7    S 27-549.5 ASSEMBLY  OF  MOTORCYCLES. A. IT SHALL BE UNLAWFUL FOR MORE
    8  THAN FIFTY MOTORCYCLISTS TO GATHER AS AN ASSEMBLY AND  RIDE  UNLESS  AND
    9  UNTIL A PERMIT THEREFOR SHALL HAVE BEEN ISSUED BY THE DEPARTMENT.
   10    B.  THE APPLICATION FOR SUCH PERMIT AND SUCH PERMIT SHALL BE IN A FORM
   11  PRESCRIBED BY THE  COMMISSIONER.  SUCH  APPLICATION  SHALL  INCLUDE  THE
   12  PLANNED ROUTE FOR SUCH ASSEMBLY.
   13    C.  THE  FEE FOR A PERMIT ISSUED PURSUANT TO THIS SECTION SHALL BE THE
   14  AMOUNT PROVIDED FOR IN SECTION 28-112.8 OF THIS CODE. AN APPLICATION FOR
   15  SUCH PERMIT OR RENEWAL THEREOF SHALL BE ACCOMPANIED BY THE FEE.
   16    D. PRIOR TO THE APPROVAL OR REJECTION  OF  THE  APPLICATION  FOR  SUCH
   17  PERMIT, BOTH THE NEW YORK CITY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND RELEVANT
   18  COMMUNITY BOARD OR BOARDS SHALL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO VIEW AND COMMENT
   19  ON SAID APPLICATION.
   20    S 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred eightieth day after
   21  it shall have become a law.  Effective immediately, the addition, amend-
   22  ment and/or repeal of any rule or regulation necessary for the implemen-
   23  tation  of  this  act on its effective date is authorized to be made and
   24  completed on or before such effective date.
