       AN  ACT  to amend the highway law, in relation to increasing the limita-
         tion on the amount raised by taxes for the purchase of certain  equip-
         ment by the town of Sanford, in the county of Broome
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Paragraph a of subdivision 3 of section 271 of the  highway
    2  law is amended by adding a new subparagraph 2-e to read as follows:
    3    (2-E) ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS IN THE TOWN OF SANFORD,
    4  IN THE COUNTY OF BROOME.
    5    S  2. This act shall take effect on the first of January next succeed-
    6  ing the date on which it shall have become a law and shall apply to  tax
    7  years commencing on or after such date.

                             [ ] is old law to be omitted.
