          on  Environmental  Conservation -- committee discharged, bill amended,
          ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee
        AN ACT relating to the placement of navigational aids adjacent  to  real
          property designated as "Coney Island"
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1.  The commissioner, as defined in subdivision two of section
     2  two of the navigation law, in order to deter violations of  paragraph  f
     3  of  subdivision  one  of section 73-a of the navigation law, by personal
     4  watercraft, may, through the issuance of a revocable  permit,  authorize
     5  the placing of aids to navigation within five hundred feet of any desig-
     6  nated  bathing  area  adjacent to all real property designated as "Coney
     7  Island." Any personal watercraft operator found to be  operating  within
     8  the  area  between  the  bathing beach and the navigational aid shall be
     9  subject to the penalties provided in subdivision three of  section  73-a
    10  of the navigation law.
    11    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
