       AN  ACT  to  amend the general municipal law, in relation to authorizing
         the use of sewer surplus for infrastructure projects other than  sewer
         projects
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Section 453 of the general  municipal  law  is  amended  by
    2  adding a new subdivision 4 to read as follows:
    3    4.  IN  THE VILLAGE OF PATCHOGUE, FOR THE PAYMENT OF EXPENSES OR OBLI-
    4  GATIONS INCURRED BY SUCH MUNICIPALITY FOR  INFRASTRUCTURE  IMPROVEMENTS,
    5  OR  TO  BE  PLACED IN A SPECIAL FUND, NOT TO EXCEED FORTY PERCENT OF THE
    6  SURPLUS, TO BE USED SPECIFICALLY FOR FUTURE INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS.
    7    S 2. This act shall take effect on the sixtieth  day  after  it  shall
    8  have become a law.
