AN ACT to amend the general business law, in relation to prohibiting
motor vehicle dealers from advertising lease specials for a limited
number of in stock vehicles which meet the advertised vehicle specifi-
cations
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1 Section 1. The general business law is amended by adding a new section
2 349-e to read as follows:
3 S 349-E. ANY ADVERTISEMENT BY A MOTOR VEHICLE DEALER ADVERTISING THE
4 AMOUNT OF A LEASE SHALL APPLY TO ALL MOTOR VEHICLES IN STOCK AT THE TIME
5 THE ADVERTISEMENT WAS PLACED WHICH SHALL MEET THE SPECIFICATIONS OF THE
6 ADVERTISED VEHICLE. SUCH ADVERTISEMENT MAY NOT BE RESTRICTED TO A LIMIT-
7 ED NUMBER OF SUCH VEHICLES WHICH MEET THE SPECIFICATIONS OF THE ADVER-
8 TISED VEHICLE.
9 S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
