STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 7546 2021-2022 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY May 13, 2021 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. PERRY -- read once and referred to the Committee on Ways and Means AN ACT to amend chapter 479 of the laws of 2011, amending the tax law relating to establishing the taxpayer refund choice act and affirming the right of state residents to receive personal income tax refunds by paper check and requiring the department of taxation and finance to fully describe any debit card or direct deposit program, in relation to extending the effectiveness thereof The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 3 of chapter 479 of the laws of 2011, amending the 2 tax law relating to establishing the taxpayer refund choice act and 3 affirming the right of state residents to receive personal income tax 4 refunds by paper check and requiring the department of taxation and 5 finance to fully describe any debit card or direct deposit program, as 6 amended by chapter 456 of the laws of 2015, is amended to read as 7 follows: 8 § 3. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall 9 have become a law and shall expire and be deemed repealed [ten] fifteen 10 years after such effective date. 11 § 2.
