STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 7479 2023-2024 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY May 24, 2023 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. K. BROWN -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Environmental Conservation AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to allowing for the taking of deer with a crossbow in Suffolk county The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Item (h) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 2 of the environmental conservation law, as amended by section 1 of chap- 3 ter 104 of the laws of 2016, is amended to read as follows: 4 (h) Suffolk County Deer of either sex crossbow or 5 long bow [only] 6 Second Monday in 7 November through 8 March thirty-first 9 § 2. Item (h) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of 10 the environmental conservation law, as amended by section 2 of chapter 11 104 of the laws of 2016, is amended to read as follows: 12 (h) Suffolk County Deer of either sex crossbow or 13 long bow [only] 14 Second Monday in 15 November through 16 March thirty-first 17 § 3. This act shall take effect immediately; provided, however, that 18 the amendments to item (h) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 19 11-0907 of the environmental conservation law made by section one of 20 this act shall be subject to the expiration and reversion of such item 21 pursuant to section 13 of chapter 600 of the laws of 1993, as amended, 22 when upon such date the provisions of section two of this act shall take 23 effect.
