McDONALD -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Real Property Taxation AN ACT in relation to permitting the City of Troy to retroactively extend a real property tax exemption to Hillside Redevelopment Associ- ates The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Upon approval by the City 13 Council of the City of Troy and execution by all parties, the assessor 14 of the City of Troy may grant exemption from all taxation and make 15 appropriate corrections to the applicable roll. Upon the granting of 16 exemption and such organization therefore shall have paid any tax with 17 respect to the applicable roll, the governing body or tax department 18 may, in its sole discretion, provide for the refund of those taxes paid 19 and cancel any taxes, fines, penalties, interest, or tax liens remaining 20 unpaid. 21 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
