       AN ACT to authorize the town of Huntington, in the county of Suffolk, to
         discontinue use of and convey certain park lands
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section  1.  Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, the
    2  town of Huntington, in the county  of  Suffolk,  is  hereby  authorized,
    3  acting  by  and through its town board, upon such other terms and condi-
    4  tions as may be determined by such board, but at fair market  value,  to
    5  discontinue the use of the municipally owned park land more particularly
    6  described  in  section  three  of  this act, and to sell and convey such
    7  lands, which are no longer needed for park purposes.
    8    S 2. The authorization provided in section one of this  act  shall  be
    9  effective  only upon the condition that the town of Huntington dedicates
   10  land equal to or greater than the fair  market  value  of  the  property
   11  being alienated in section three of this act as additional park land.
   12    S  3. The parcels authorized to be conveyed by section one of this act
   13  are described as follows:
   14  ALL that certain plot, piece or parcel of land, with the  buildings  and
   15  improvements  thereon  erected, situate, lying and being near Greenlawn,
   16  in the Town of Huntington, County of Suffolk  and  State  of  New  York,
   17  bounded and described as follows:

    1  BEGINNING  at  a  point the following three courses and distances from a
    2  point on the southerly side of  Pulaski  Road  where  the  northeasterly
    3  corner  of land now or formerly of DOOGAN intersects said southerly side
    4  of Pulaski Road;
    5    (1)  Easterly  along  a  curve  bearing  to the right with a radius of
    6  1612.27 feet and an arc length of 100.13 feet along with southerly  side
    7  of Pulaski Road;
    8    (2) South 17 degrees 47 minutes 30 seconds east 425.41 feet;
    9    (3)  South  11  degrees  03 minutes 20 seconds west 209.91 feet to the
   10  point and place of beginning;
   11  THENCE from said point of beginning  South  11  degrees  03  minutes  20
   12  seconds west 134.56 feet;
   13  THENCE South 11 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds east 110.37 feet;

   22  intersection of the southerly side of Pulaski Road and the westerly side
   23  of the proposed Northport-Babylon Expressway:

   25    (2) South 54 degrees 26 minutes 40 seconds  east  72.57  feet  to  the
   26  point of beginning;
   27  THENCE  from  said  point  of  beginning  the  following two courses and
   28  distances along the westerly boundary of the proposed  Northport-Babylon
   29  Expressway:
   30    (1) South 54 degrees 26 minutes 40 seconds east 162.49 feet;

   50  easement for sewerage lines, drainage lines, water lines and other util-
   51  ity lines over the following described property;
   52  BEGINNING at a point on the westerly side of the proposed  Northport-Ba-
   53  bylon  Expressway, said point being the following two courses southerly,
   54  as measured along the westerly side of  the  proposed  Northport-Babylon
   55  Expressway  from  its  intersection  with  the southerly side of Pulaski
   56  Road, C.R. 11:

    1    1) S20-45-10E, 327.80 feet, and
    2    2) S54-26-40E, 72.57 feet to the point of beginning;
    3  RUNNING THENCE along the westerly side of the proposed Northport-Babylon
    4  Expressway the following two courses:
    5    1) S54-26-40E, 162.49 feet to a point, and
    6    2) S33-38-10E, 54.95 feet to a point;
    7  THENCE S52-08-33W, 50.14 feet to a point;
    8  THENCE  parallel  to the westerly side of the proposed Northport-Babylon
    9  Expressway and 50' therefrom the following two courses:
   10    1) N33-38-10W, 49.46 feet to a point, and
   11    2) N54-26-40W, 163.48 feet to a point;
   12  THENCE N47-03-20E, 51.02 feet to the point or place of beginning.
   13  Containing within said bounds 0.247 acres.
   14    S 4. The discontinuance and conveyance of park land authorized by  the
   15  provisions  of this act shall not occur until the town of Huntington has
   16  complied with any federal requirements pertaining to the  alienation  or
   17  conversion  of  park  lands,  including  satisfying the secretary of the
   18  interior that the alienation or conversion complies with all  conditions
   19  which  the  secretary of the interior deems necessary to assure that the
   20  substitution of other lands shall be equivalent in fair market value and
   21  recreational usefulness to the lands being alienated or converted.
   22    S 5. This act shall take effect immediately.
