          to the Committee on Judiciary -- recommitted to the Committee on Judi-
          ciary in  accordance  with  Assembly  Rule  3,  sec.  2  --  committee
          discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted
          to  said  committee  -- reported and referred to the Committee on Ways
          and Means -- recommitted to the Committee on Judiciary  in  accordance
          with  Assembly  Rule  3, sec. 2 -- committee discharged, bill amended,
          ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee

        AN ACT to amend the judiciary law, in relation to increasing the  number
          of county court judges in Saratoga county

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Subdivision 41 of section 182  of  the  judiciary  law,  as
     2  added  by  chapter  699 of the laws of 1969 and as renumbered by chapter
     3  751 of the laws of 1969, is amended to read as follows:
     4    41. Saratoga, [one] two;
     5    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately; provided,  however,  that
     6  the  additional county court justice provided for by section one of this
     7  act shall first be elected at the general election to be held in  Novem-
     8  ber 2024 and shall take office January 1, 2025.
