STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 6776 2017-2018 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY March 17, 2017 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. LUPINACCI -- read once and referred to the Committee on Higher Education AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to state reimbursement to counties which have issued certificates of residence for non-residents The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Subdivision 10 of section 6305 of the education law, as 2 added by chapter 170 of the laws of 1994, is amended to read as follows: 3 10. [On or before March thirty-first, nineteen hundred ninety-five and4every year thereafter, the state shall reimburse each county which has5issued a certificate of residence for any non-resident student in6attendance at the fashion institute of technology during the nineteen7hundred ninety-three--ninety-four academic year and every year thereaft-8er in an amount equal to fifty percent of the actual amount paid by such9county on behalf of such students and on or before June first, nineteen10hundred ninety-five and every year thereafter, the state shall reimburse11each county for the remaining fifty percent of the actual amount paid by12each such county on behalf of such students] Beginning March thirty- 13 first, two thousand seventeen, and every year thereafter, the state 14 shall reimburse each county which has issued a certificate of residence 15 for any non-resident student in attendance at the Fashion Institute of 16 Technology or any other community college in a given fiscal year in an 17 amount equal to one hundred percent of the actual amount paid by each 18 such county on behalf of such students. 19 § 2.
