Bill Title: Provides BOCES with the power and duty to lease real property, including suitable land, classrooms, offices and buildings, upon or in which to maintain and conduct cooperative educational services and administrative offices for a period not to exceed ten years for leases with public entities and twenty years for leases with non-public entities.

        AN  ACT  to amend chapter 374 of the laws of 2014 amending the education
          law relating to the leasing of real property by boards of  cooperative
          education services, in relation to the effectiveness thereof
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1. Section 4 of chapter 374 of the laws of 2014  amending  the
     2  education  law  relating  to  the  leasing of real property by boards of
     3  cooperative education services is amended to read as follows:
     4    § 4. This act shall take effect immediately[, and shall expire and  be
     5  deemed  repealed  July  1,  2019,  provided, however, that any contracts
     6  entered pursuant to this act shall not be impaired or modified  by  such
     7  expiration  and repeal; provided further that the provisions of this act
     8  shall only apply to contracts entered into after the effective  date  of
     9  this act].
    10    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
