BRENNAN -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to contingent compensation THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. The public authorities law is amended by adding a new 2 section 2807 to read as follows: 3 S 2807. CONTINGENCY COMPENSATION. PUBLIC AUTHORITIES MAY NOT IMPLE- 4 MENT ANY KIND OF CONTINGENCY COMPENSATION FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES. FAILURE 5 TO ADHERE TO THIS SECTION EMPOWERS THE AUTHORITIES BUDGET OFFICE TO TAKE 6 APPROPRIATE ACTION AS DEFINED IN TITLE TWO OF ARTICLE ONE OF THIS CHAP- 7 TER. NOTHING HEREIN SHALL SUPERSEDE ANY COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT 8 ENTERED INTO PRIOR TO THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS SECTION. 9 S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
