MILLMAN -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Cities AN ACT to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to providing that a certain portion of the sidewalk adjacent to the licensed premises of certain second-hand articles dealers is considered to be part of the licensed premises THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. Subdivision a of section 20-268 of the administrative code 2 of the city of New York, as amended by local law number 39 of the city 3 of New York for the year 2006, is amended to read as follows: 4 a. (1) It shall be unlawful for any dealer in second-hand articles to 5 carry on his or her business at any place other than the one designated 6 in such license. 7 (2) FOR PURPOSES OF THIS SUBCHAPTER, A PLACE OF BUSINESS DESIGNATED IN 8 A LICENSE SHALL INCLUDE THAT PORTION OF THE SIDEWALK IMMEDIATELY ADJA- 9 CENT TO THE LICENSED PREMISES FOR THE LENGTH OF STOREFRONT OF THE 10 LICENSED PREMISES AND FOR A WIDTH OF THREE FEET FROM THE FRONT OF THE 11 LICENSED PREMISES, PROVIDED THE SIDEWALK IS A MINIMUM OF SIX FEET WIDE 12 FROM THE FRONT OF THE LICENSED PREMISES TO THE CURB OR STREET. THE 13 PROVISIONS OF THIS PARAGRAPH SHALL NOT APPLY TO DEALERS OF AUTOMOBILES, 14 MOTOR AND OTHER VEHICLES. 15 S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
