WALTER -- read once and referred to the Committee on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to providing veto power to the governor over acts of the power authority of the state of New York THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. The public authorities law is amended by adding a new 2 section 1003-a to read as follows: 3 S 1003-A. POWER OF AUTHORITY TO BE APPROVED OR VETOED BY GOVERNOR. THE 4 EXERCISE OF THE VETO POWER OF THE GOVERNOR OVER ANY ACTION OF THE 5 AUTHORITY IS HEREBY GRANTED. 6 THE GOVERNOR MAY, WITHIN TEN DAYS VETO ANY ACTION TAKEN BY THE AUTHOR- 7 ITY. IF THE GOVERNOR SHALL NOT VETO SUCH ACTION OF THE AUTHORITY WITHIN 8 SUCH TEN DAY PERIOD, THEN AT THE EXPIRATION THEREOF, SUCH ACTION SHALL 9 HAVE FULL FORCE AND EFFECT. 10 S 2.
