The administrative code of the city of New York is amended 2 by adding a new section 17-124 to read as follows: 3 S 17-124 RADIATOR COVERS. A. THE OWNER, OR AGENT WHO IS RESPONSIBLE 4 FOR THE LEASING OR MANAGEMENT OF A MULTIPLE DWELLING SHALL PROVIDE AND 5 INSTALL RADIATOR COVERS FOR ALL RADIATOR UNITS IN A DWELLING UNIT WITHIN 6 NINETY DAYS OF THE RECEIPT OF A WRITTEN REQUEST BY A TENANT OF THE 7 DWELLING UNIT. 8 B. ANY OWNER OR AGENT WHO VIOLATES THE PROVISIONS OF SUBDIVISION A OF 9 THIS SECTION SHALL BE SUBJECT TO A CIVIL PENALTY OF NOT LESS THAN TEN 10 DOLLARS AND NO MORE THAN FIFTY DOLLARS FOR EACH DWELLING UNIT IN WHICH A 11 VIOLATION OCCURS BETWEEN JUNE FIRST AND SEPTEMBER THIRTIETH, AND A CIVIL 12 PENALTY OF NOT LESS THAN TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS AND NO MORE THAN ONE 13 HUNDRED TEN DOLLARS PER DAY FOR EACH DWELLING UNIT IN WHICH A VIOLATION 14 OCCURS BETWEEN OCTOBER FIRST AND MAY THIRTY-FIRST. 15 S 2.
