         DiPIETRO -- read once and referred to the Committee on Ways and Means
       AN ACT to repeal section 24 and subsection (gg) of section  606  of  the
         tax  law  relating  to  the  empire  state film production credit; and
         making an appropriation therefor
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Section 24 of the tax law is REPEALED.
    2    S 2. Subsection (gg) of section 606 of the tax law is REPEALED.
    3    S  3.  The  sum  of four hundred ten million dollars ($410,000,000) is
    4  hereby appropriated for the general support of education  in  the  state
    5  out of any moneys in the state treasury in the general fund to the cred-
    6  it  of  the state purposes account, not otherwise appropriated, and made
    7  immediately available, for the purpose of education. Such  moneys  shall
    8  be  payable  on  the  audit  and  warrant of the comptroller on vouchers
    9  certified or approved by the commissioner of  education  in  the  manner
   10  prescribed by law.
   11    S 4. This act shall take effect immediately.
