       AN ACT to amend the agriculture and markets law, in relation to  requir-
         ing  poultry  products  treated with antibiotics containing arsenic to
         bear a label so indicating
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section  1. The agriculture and markets law is amended by adding a new
    2  section 96-z-30 to read as follows:
    3    S 96-Z-30. ARSENIC LABELING. NO POULTRY OR POULTRY PRODUCT  FOR  HUMAN
    4  CONSUMPTION  WHICH HAS RECEIVED FOOD TREATED WITH ANTIBIOTICS CONTAINING
    5  ARSENIC, SHALL BE SOLD, EXPOSED FOR SALE, EXCHANGED OR TRANSPORTED WITH-
    6  IN THE STATE UNLESS THE SAME SHALL BEAR A LABEL INDICATING SUCH  PRODUCT
    7  WAS "FED WITH ANTIBIOTICS CONTAINING ARSENIC".
    8    S 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred twentieth day after
    9  it  shall have become a law. Effective immediately, the addition, amend-
   10  ment and/or repeal of any rule or regulation necessary for the implemen-
   11  tation of this act on its effective date is authorized to be made on  or
   12  before such effective date.
