Summary

Establishes the crime of assault on a sports official or sports team coach when an individual causes physical injury to a sports official or coach prior to, during, or immediately following an interscholastic, intercollegiate, or any other organized amateur contest in which such sports official or sports team coach is participating, where the person committing the offense knows or reasonably should have known that the victim was a sports official or sports team coach; assault on a sports official or sports team coach is a class A misdemeanor.
