STATEMENT
This bill makes a supplemental appropriation of $2.561 million to the Liberty Science Center, an interactive learning center that is visited by hundreds of thousands of students, teachers, and parents each year.
The 2019 annual appropriation act appropriated $10.799 million to the Liberty Science Center, $1 million more than the Governor requested in his budget message. However, the appropriation is approximately $2.5 million less than it received from appropriations in prior years. This supplemental appropriation therefore grants the approximate difference in additional funds between what was received in prior years and what was appropriated for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2019.
