SYNOPSIS
Requires contractor with federal government to comply with requirements imposed under contract.

An Act concerning terms and conditions of contracts with the federal government and supplementing Title 52 of the Revised Statutes.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. If the terms and conditions of a contract, lease, or other agreement between a federal government agency and a public or private entity involve a construction project and require the public or private entity to comply with requirements imposed under federal, State, or local law, the public or private entity shall not commence the construction project until the entity has complied with the requirements imposed under federal, State, or local law. This shall include, but not be limited to, compliance with all State and local permitting requirements applicable to the project.
2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill would require an entity that enters into a construction contract with a federal government agency, which contract requires the entity to comply with requirements imposed under federal, State, or local law, to comply with all such requirements before commencing the construction project. The bill specifies this includes, but is not be limited to, all State and local permitting requirements applicable to the project.
