SYNOPSIS
Designates "The New Jersey Song" as State song.
CURRENT VERSION OF TEXT
As introduced.
An Act designating "The New Jersey Song" as the State song and supplementing chapter 9A of Title 52 of the Revised Statutes.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. a. The State song shall be the words and music of the song entitled "The New Jersey Song," with lyrics and music by Sabrina Erndl, Kaliah Fitch, and Ziaira Fitch, from the fourth grade class of the Howard C. Johnson School.
b. The Secretary of State shall maintain the printed music, lyrics and sound recording of "The New Jersey Song" in the State Library, or in another suitable archive, as a resource for the people of New Jersey.
2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill designates "The New Jersey Song," with lyrics and music by Sabrina Erndl, Kaliah Fitch, and Ziaira Fitch, from the fourth grade class of the Howard C. Johnson School.
This bill further requires the Secretary of State to maintain the sheet music and sound recording of "The New Jersey Song" in the State Library, or in another suitable archive, as a resource for the people of New Jersey.
