STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen

 

AN ACT relative to an optional ban on plastic bags.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Subparagraph; Powers and Duties of Towns; Power to Make Bylaws.  Amend RSA 31:39, I by inserting after subparagraph (p) the following new subparagraph:

(q)  Prohibiting the distribution of disposable plastic shopping bags to consumers.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
