This bill exempts information and records contained in personnel files, internal investigations, and pre-employment background investigations of any state or local law enforcement officer from public access or disclosure under the right-to-know law.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty One
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Paragraph; Access to Governmental Records and Meetings; Exemption for Law Enforcement Personnel Records. Amend RSA 91-A:5 by inserting after paragraph XI the following new paragraph:
XII. Information and records contained in personnel files, internal investigations, and pre-employment background investigations of any state or local law enforcement officer.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
