METHODOLOGY:

This bill has Volunteer NH assess the necessary funds to establish a new full-time position dedicated to supporting post-service college and career pathways for AmeriCorps alumni and returned Peace Corps volunteers.  The calculated amount for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, is appropriated to Volunteer NH for this purpose.

The Department of Administrative Services states that the following calculations were derived using Volunteer NH's salary ranges and fringe benefit rates.  Furthermore, the Volunteer NH Programs Officer Level II position will receive funding through fiscal year 2028, with a 3% annual salary increase.  A consistent fringe rate of 24.8% was applied across all three years. Organizational costs were allocated at a rate of 9.4% of staff salaries, encompassing expenses such as internet, phone services, office supplies, payroll services, audit fees, and additional miscellaneous costs.  An extra $1,000 was designated for travel expenses.
