STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eighteen

 

AN ACT relative to voters using out-of-state drivers' licenses as identification.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Subparagraph; Voter Identification; Out-of-State Driver's License.  Amend RSA 659:13, II by inserting after subparagraph (c) the following new subparagraph:

(d)  If a voter uses an out-of-state driver's license as his or her form of identification, the ballot clerk shall provide the voter with written information on the provisions of RSA 263:35 that require that upon the establishment of a bona fide residency in this state, he or she shall have a maximum of 60 days from the date his or her residency was established to obtain a driver's license issued by the state of New Hampshire.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
