ANALYSIS
This bill requires that lobbyist statements submitted to the secretary of state be legible when filed, or returned to the lobbyist until a legible filing has been received.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty
AN ACT requiring lobbyist forms submitted in writing to be legible.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Paragraph; Lobbyists; Registration Forms. Amend RSA 15:3 by inserting after paragraph II the following new paragraph:
III. All lobbyist registrations shall be legible when filed. Upon determination by the secretary of state that a filing is not legible, the filing shall be returned to the lobbyist and deemed not filed until a legible filing has been received.
2 New Paragraph; Lobbyists; Statements. Amend RSA 15:6 by inserting after paragraph V the following new paragraph:
V-a. All lobbyist statements shall be legible when filed. Upon determination by the secretary of state that a filing is not legible, the filing shall be returned to the lobbyist and deemed not filed until a legible filing has been received.
3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
