STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty
AN ACT proclaiming March 2 Reading in New Hampshire Day.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Proclaiming March 2 Reading in New Hampshire Day. Amend RSA 4 by inserting after section 13-z the following new section:
4:13-aa Reading in New Hampshire Day. The governor shall annually proclaim March 2 to be Reading in New Hampshire Day in recognition of Theodor Geisel's contribution to childhood literacy and shall urge the citizens of the state, as well as schools, libraries, and local communities, to commemorate the day with appropriate events and activities.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
