AN ACT relative to OHRV trails known as "Ride the Wilds."

ANALYSIS

 

This bill provides that the network of OHRV trails in Coos county known as "Ride the Wilds" shall be utilized as OHRV trails.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty

 

AN ACT relative to OHRV trails known as "Ride the Wilds."

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Subdivision; Ride the Wilds.  Amend RSA 215-A by inserting after section 44 the following new subdivision:

Ride the Wilds

215-A:45  Ride the Wilds.  The following OHRV trails,  which are on state-owned property, shall be utilized for OHRV use to reduce public road use in the OHRV area known as Ride the Wilds in Coos county:

I.  In Nash Stream Forest, from the southern property boundary along an existing snowmobile trail called the gas access trail, north to the intersection of Nash Stream and Amos  Emery Road.  Nash Stream Road from the intersection with Amos Emery Road north to the intersection with West Side Road.  West Side Road from Nash Stream Road going west to the intersection with West Side Road and the Bordeaux Trail.

II.  In Nash Stream Forest, Amos Emery Road from Nash Stream Road and going east to snowmobile primary trail 117, then along an old road near Rowells’ Brook, then east along and within 300’ of the southern property boundary line, then northeast along the base of Bald Mountain, then southeast along two old roads, then back to snowmobile trail 117 east, then due south connecting up with existing skidder trails and old roads to the powerline.  At the powerline, a trail will head east along the powerline to where the powerline exits the property and another trail will head due south following existing gravel roads to Percy Road to provide local OHRV access.

III.  In Nash Stream Forest, Kelsey Notch Road from the westerly property line to the easterly property line.

IV.  In Nash Stream Forest, snowmobile corridor 5 from Kelsey Notch Road to the northern property line.

V.  In Coleman state park, snowmobile corridor 18 trail from the eastern property boundary north to Diamond Pond Road.

VI.  In Coleman state park, snowmobile corridor 5 trail from Diamond Pond Road north to the northern boundary.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
