AN ACT relative to eligibility for the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program.

ANALYSIS

 

This bill provides that the department of health and human services shall enable participants in the food stamp program to complete the renewal process electronically if the household includes a member with an illness, injury, or disability.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty

 

AN ACT relative to eligibility for the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Paragraph; Public Assistance; Eligibility for Assistance.  Amend RSA 167:4 by inserting after paragraph V the following new paragraph:

VI.  The department shall enable participants in the Supplemental Assistance Nutrition Program (SNAP), also known as the food stamp program, to complete the renewal process electronically if the household includes a member with an illness, injury, or disability.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
