STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen

 

AN ACT prohibiting charges to New Hampshire residents for the construction of high pressure gas pipelines.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1 New Section; High Pressure Gas Pipeline; Tariff, Tax, and Fee Prohibited.  Amend RSA 162-H by inserting after section 10-b the following new section:

162-H:10-c  Tariffs, Taxes, and Fees Prohibited for Construction of High Pressure Gas Pipelines.  No  tariff, tax, or fee, including any fee levied by a gas or electric utility upon ratepayers, may be levied upon any state resident for the purpose of constructing a high pressure gas pipeline that connects to a liquefied natural gas export terminal or to a pipeline that connects directly or indirectly to a liquefied natural gas export terminal.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
