A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to direct the legislative research commission to study issues related to tort reform.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  The Legislative Research Commission (LRC) shall study issues related to tort reform, including comparative fault, contributory negligence, joint and several liability, and evidence related to and calculation of damages.

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
