HOUSE BILL 77
AN ACT to delete a Provision for a fifty‑dollar payment to members of the board of law examiners that has not been paid since the 1970s and to clarify a provision relating to expenses of that board, as recommended by the General STatutes Commission.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. G.S. 84‑26 reads as rewritten:
"§
84‑26. Pay Expenses of Board of Law Examiners.
Each Notwithstanding G.S. 93B‑5(b),
each member of the Board of Law Examiners shall receive the sum of fifty
dollars ($50.00) for his services in connection with each examination and shall
receive his the member's actual expenses of travel and subsistence
while engaged in duties assigned to him, provided the member;
provided, however, that for transportation by the use of private automobile
the expense of travelthat transportation shall be the same as
paid other boards and commissions by the State."
SECTION 2. This act is effective when it becomes law.
In the General Assembly read three times and ratified this the 4th day of March, 2013.
