A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriate funds for monitoring and emergency cleanup of the texfi site contamination.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Division of Waste Management, the sum of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for the 2011‑2012 fiscal year to cost‑share federal funds for the cleanup and monitoring of the groundwater and other contamination located at the Texfi site in Fayetteville and for any emergency cleanup activities needed at that site.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2011.
