Short Title:        Benefit Bank of NC Funds.		(Public)

A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriate funds to aid the benefit bank of north carolina.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to Connectinc., Inc., a nonprofit organization, the sum of three million eighty‑thousand seven hundred twenty‑one dollars ($3,080,721) for the 2010‑2011 fiscal year to aid the Benefit Bank of North Carolina (TBB‑NC) and expand its service to veterans.  The TBB‑NC connects low‑ and moderate‑income families with work supports through grassroots outreach using Internet‑based technology and other tools.  These work supports help clients attain financial security resulting in a boost to the State's economy.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2010.
