A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT to appropriate funds to the board of governors of the university of north carolina to be used to assist with operating and capital expenses for the school of dentistry at east carolina and its upcoming accreditation process.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Board of Governors of The University of North Carolina the sum of eleven million dollars ($11,000,000) in recurring funds for the 2010‑2011 fiscal year to be allocated to East Carolina University to assist with operating costs, including the purchase of equipment, for the School of Dentistry. These funds are a crucial factor in the accrediting process for the School of Dentistry.
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2010.
