A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS for THE NORTH CAROLINA PTA PARENT INVOLVEMENT/dropout prevention INITIATIVE.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the North Carolina Congress of Parents and Teachers, Incorporated, a nonprofit organization, the sum of three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) for the 2010‑2011 fiscal year to continue the North Carolina PTA Parent Involvement/Dropout Prevention Initiative. These funds shall not revert at the end of each fiscal year but shall remain available until expended for this purpose.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2010.
