A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT to study the damage caused to various types of properties from unauthorized use of an All‑terrain vehicle.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. Definition. – For purposes of this act, the term "all‑terrain vehicle" has the same meaning as in G.S. 20‑4.01.
SECTION 2. Study. – The Department of Transportation shall study the impact and damage from the unauthorized use of all‑terrain vehicles on State rights‑of‑way, private property, and farmland.
SECTION 3. Report. – The Department shall report its findings, including any legislative proposals, to the Joint Legislative Transportation Oversight Committee no later than December 1, 2017.
SECTION 4. Effective Date. – This act is effective when it becomes law.
