A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT to limit the number of charter schools located in durham county.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. The total number of charter schools located in Durham County that the State Board of Education is authorized to approve shall not exceed twenty percent (20%) of the number of public schools operated by the Durham County Board of Education.
SECTION 2. This act applies only to Durham County.
SECTION 3. This act is effective when it becomes law.
