WHEREAS, with St. Andrews "Saints" Boys Basketball Team trailing Holly Springs by three early in the fourth, Garrison Wade sprinted up and jumped for the ball five feet above him for the putback dunk.  This would be his game.  Wade then scored eight unanswered points and 10 of St. Andrew's next 11.  He grabbed every rebound and finished every crucial play to lead St. Andrews to a 48-42 victory to win the 3A State Championship, the first in school history; and

WHEREAS, Assistant Coach JeMario Rugley's father, Gus, taught him competitiveness and character, and Rugley said Gus was watching over this St. Andrews team the whole season.  He thanked his players for ending the challenging year with a title.  "They did it for themselves.  They did it for St. Andrew's, and they said they were gonna do it for my dad, and they did that," Rugley said; and

WHEREAS, St. Andrews Head Coach Brian Cronin and Garrison Wade celebrated after defeating Holly Springs to win the 3A State Title, two guys who just made their place in St. Andrews history; and
