AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEWTON COUNTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH RURAL FIRE DEPARTMENT EXPENSES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2025.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, to Newton County, Mississippi, for the purpose of defraying costs associated with rural fire department expenses, including $75,000.00 to go to the Beulah Hubbard Fire Department and the remaining to go equally to the Conehatta Fire Department, the Hickory Fire Department and the Chunky Fire Department for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2024, and ending June 30, 2025............. $ 150,000.00.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2024.
